Ford Motor Company Fund is a not-for-profit corporation organized in 1949. Made possible by Ford Motor Company profits, Ford Motor Company Fund and Community Services supports initiatives and institutions that enhance and improve opportunities for those who live in the communities where Ford Motor Company operates.
Ford Motor Company Fund supports initiatives and nonprofit organizations in three areas: education, community life and driving safely.
Driving Safely: Ford Fund is committed to teaching teens and other newly licensed drivers how to be safe behind the wheel. A signature program of Ford Fund, Ford Driving Skills for Life teaches newly licensed and teen drivers the necessary skills for safe driving beyond what they learn in standard driver education programs. Ford Driving Skills for Life captures teen and parent interest with hands-on courses that pair newly licensed drivers with professional instructors, focusing on the issues and obstacles drivers face that cause crashes, including:
- Hazard Recognition
- Vehicle Handling
- Speed and Space Management
- Distracted and Impaired Driving.
Ford Driving Skills for Life has operated in all 50 states as well as Puerto Rico. https://www.fordfund.org/driving-safely
Education: Education is the foundation for success. It is key to making lives better, creating social change and building sustainable communities. Thats why Ford Fund invests more than $16 million annually to support educational initiatives that empower people to envision and lead change in their communities or in their own lives. https://www.fordfund.org/education
Community Life: For more than 70 years, Ford Fund has been investing in programs that feed the hungry, provide disaster relief, assist military veterans, support arts and culture initiatives and celebrate the diversity that strengthens communities. Partnering with hundreds of nonprofits around the world, we provide access to resources and opportunities that help build stronger communities and help people reach their full potential. https://www.fordfund.org/community-life
