Grants
1) What are eligibility requirements?
Eligibility requirements are restrictions on who may apply for specific grant programs. These requirements take different forms and may be indicated through the type of organization requested and/or regional statistics (i.e. population) may qualify you for the grant. Additionally, in several Federal grant programs the authority actually names or highlights certain regions of focus. In these cases, only those listed are eligible for the funding. Regardless of the requirements, 400 billion nationally is dispersed every year for domestic assistance, by the Federal government. Generally, every organization qualifies for some program.
2) Can I reuse grant applications for different competitions?
For the most part the answer to this question is no. Every grant application has its own set of guidelines and priorities that need to be covered for adequate submission. However, once certain elements of a grant such as your organization's background, program descriptions and industry-specific definitions have been outlined they may be reusable in future applications. In essence, you will have created a strong base on which you can capitalize for future grants development.
3) When can I expect to receive funding?
Typically Federal grant programs announce their awards 6 to 9 months after the grant's submission. However, with several grant programs, special circumstances may apply, (such as an earmark), and funding may not be announced for up to a year after the application is submitted.
Grantwriting
1) How do I contract with Grants Office to write grants?
Email marketing@grantsoffice.com for more information.
2) How many grantwriters are available to write grants?
Grants Office has developed a consortium of 65+ Grantwriting consultants throughout the country that are knowledgeable in varying fields.
3) Who are the grantwriters that write the grants?
Our grantwriters are experienced consultants around the country that have proven skills and have written numerous federal, state and foundation grants.
4) How long does it take for a grant to be written?
Typically we suggest that organizations set aside a minimum of 2 weeks to dedicate to writing and organizing their grant application. Organizations that outsource the writing of a grant should still be prepared to work closely with the grantwriter in many ways including explaining your project plan and specifics about your organization, editing proposals, and budget building. Although a grant application may be constructed in a shorter period of time, Grants Office would advise against initiating a contract with clients under this timeframe.
5) How much does it cost for Grants Office to write a grant?
Pricing varies according to the needs of the organization and the complexity of grant selected. Pricing ranges from $900 to $9,000 per grant. Grants Office also offers an introductory program (Get in the Game), for a flat fee of $4,900. This program identifies 5 ideal grant programs within the upcoming calendar year and contracts with a grant writer to compose the grant application of your choosing.
