SUMMARY: The National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) Division of Public Programs is accepting applications for the Public Humanities Projects program. This program supports projects that bring the ideas and insights of the humanities to life through in-person exhibitions and historic site interpretations.
Projects must focus on one of the following areas:
- American Military History and Valor
- The American Dream and Economic Freedom
- American Exceptionalism in World Affairs
- 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.
The program supports projects in two categories (exhibitions and interpretive programs) at historic sites
The program offers two funding levels (planning and implementation).
A total of $6,000,00 is available in funding for an expected 30 awards. Award amounts range up to $750,000. There are no cost sharing requirements.
DEADLINE: Applications are to be submitted by September 10, 2025.
ELIGIBILITY: Eligible applicants include Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized), Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education, Special district governments, Private institutions of higher education, County governments, Public and State controlled institutions of higher education, State governments, City or township governments.
