SUMMARY: EPA’s Wetland Program Development Grants provide funds to increase the quantity and quality of wetlands by conserving and restoring wetland acreage and improving wetland condition through various initiatives.
Projects must meet at least one of these benefits:
- Addresses water quality and/or quantity challenges, improves habitat, or prevents or reduces nonpoint source pollution
 
- Reduces, minimizes, or avoids wetland losses or impacts
 
- Expands research, education, and develops wetland assessment tools for wetland restoration and protection
 
- Expands the adaptive capacity of communities, wildlife, and plants to be resilient
 
- Deepens community engagement or use of wetlands for recreational and cultural purposes
 
 
A total of $3.6 million is available for 12 awards with a 25% cost share required by the applicant.
DEADLINE: Applications are due November 13, 2025.
ELIGIBILITY: Eligible applicants include states, local governments, tribes, institutions of higher education, interstate agencies, and intertribal consortia from Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia.
