SUMMARY: The Oak Foundation addresses issues of global, social, and environmental concern. Oak Foundation is family-led and reflects the vision and values of its founders. In all its work, Oak pursues rights-based approaches, gender equality and partnership with the organizations they fund.
The Foundation funds initiatives that:
- address the root causes of problems
- are replicable either within a sector or across geographical locations
- include plans for long-term sustainability, including co-funding
- strive to collaborate with like-minded organizations
- demonstrate good financial and organizational management
- value the participation of people and communities
Grant applications are initiated in three ways:

Letter of enquiry
Request for Proposals
Grant amounts vary by project scope and size and are generally for multi-year, core support of flexible projects.
DEADLINE: Letter of enquiries are accepted on an ongoing basis. Request for Proposals are available occasionally.
ELIGIBILITY: Eligible applicants include not-for-profit organizations across the globe that aim to make the world a safer, fairer, and more sustainable place to live.
