In FY 2023, BJA will be focusing nationally on the following priority areas:
- Advancing Justice System Reform Efforts
- Advancing Racial Equity and Support for Underserved Communities
- Preventing and Combating Hate Crimes
- Crime and Violence Reduction Strategies
- Community Based Violence Intervention (CVI) Approaches
DEADLINE: In FY 2023, applications will be submitted to DOJ in a two-step process. Step 1: Applicants will submit an SF-424 and an SF-LLL in Grants.gov by August 24, 2023, 8:59 PM ET. Step 2: Applicants will submit the full application, including attachments, in JustGrants by August 31, 2023, 8:59 PM ET. A similar deadline is anticipated annually.
ELIGIBILITY: Applicants are limited to those units of local government appearing on the FY 2023 Allocation list: https://bja.ojp.gov/program/jag/fy-2023-allocations. Additional law enforcement agencies, public entities, and non-profit organizations may apply to these applicants for sub-grants.
